About me:
I am committed to every individuals journey and to continually improving my skills - giving individuals a high standard of care and ensuring clients move effectively into change.
I understand the delicate process of unravelling and finding one's own path...
Some may feel stuck and perceive change to be threatening, even if the change is for the better. Life is all about change. I look forward to helping those who want to make positive changes...
I have 11 years Professional Training & Experience:
I began my Counselling training in 1999 and completed my Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy in 2003 at the Nottingham Trent University. Over the years I have gained a wealth of experience, training as a Mediator for Broxtowe Council (helping with neighbourhood disputes), I held placements at The Priory Clinic Nottingham, Base 51 and for the past 9 years at The Nottingham Women's Counselling Project - where I was also a member of the Management commitee. I have worked in the Education sector and now work independently in Private practice.
Last year I completed a Diploma in Hypnotherapy (Distinction) and Certificate in Hypnoanalysis Free Association. I'm currently studying TA (Transactional Analysis) Psychotherapy and CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) at the Berne Institute Kegworth.
I'm interested in all aspects of Mental health, Personnal Development, Depression and Holistic healing.
I attend regular supervision with a senior Practitioner ensuring my work is effective. I am insured with professional liability and I attend regular workshops and training days.
